TRANCE!!! This is a tribute to my city: PEREIRA Der Mystik (aka. Paulo Der Muñoz) was born the March 2nd of 1978 in Pereira city, the capital of Risaralda state, in Colombia. At his early age, he started practicing music with a keyboard and took piano & flute classes when he was in High School but he never completed the program. Then after high school he started working as a mobile Dj, playing at parties and small events at local nightclubs, but due to personal problems, he was forced to stop those activities and his dreams of becoming a Dj and producer seemed to be shattered then. A couple of years later, he moved to New York (USA), and there he found out about a music game called "MTV Music Generator 2" for the Playstation 2, which he bought with the very first check of his regular job and started making sounds with it. "It is not a professional program, you can't make serious dance music with it, but it taught me the basics of music production, it helped me to understand the use of reverb and delay, how to arrange a track, and developed my ear to make beautiful melodies without using a keyboard", said Der Mystik. In 2004, he moved to California and it is there where he creates his first solid musical attempt, Garden of Whispers in using Fruity Loops Studio, which was supported by Suzy Solar in her etn.fm show "Solar Sessions", as she also listed it in the 7th place in her monthly chart. In the beginning of the third quarter of 2005, Paulo Der Muñoz won the UKTA 2005 Anthem Competition with his track Eye of the Vortex and starts playing regularly his show "Der Sezzionz" at Internet Stations. From this point, Der Mystik's music has been heard through several record labels such as Neuroscience Recordings, Moonrising Records, Istmo Music/Dub Tech Recordings, Atmosphoria Records, RealMusic Recordings and Redux Recordings, as well as CD compilations like "Transmasters" and "Sin Fronteras". Der Mystik's near/far future goals include the start of Real Legacy Records, a record label co-owned with his brother (Reliic), become an established name in the music industry, and finish his high education degrees on Music and Web/Art Design. Author: piperamz Far Cry 2 GC 2008 Map Editor Gamespot Interview
PC,PS3,Xbox 360 Release Date: October 21, 2008 Genre: First-Person Shooter The first tool at your disposal is the mound tool. Simply create a circle on an area of land and hold down a button, and the earth will begin to elevate, almost as though you're spray-painting elevation changes. Indeed, most tools handle exactly like a spray-paint tool in Photoshop. If you "spray" over the ground with the noise tool, it will create random divots and rocks and small contours to give the map a more natural look. The erode tool can be applied to elevated mounds, creating sheer cliffs and steep, rocky slopes. A texture tool can apply individual biome characteristics that represent the major areas of Far Cry 2: jungle, desert, and savannah. An algorithm will select trees and bushes at random, so vegetation appears realistic rather than being a perfect grid of palm trees. We watched as one developer created a beautiful forest in a matter of seconds. Roads can be added by selecting a surface such as dirt or pavement and then dragging and dropping points around the topography. Finally, every map must have a set number of spawn points, at least one spectator camera location, and mode-specific objectives like flags in Capture the Flag. A validation tool will tell you what you're missing before you're allowed to finalize your map. The bulk of your time will be spent with the object tool, which gives you the ability to drop any object into the environment and orient it exactly as you wish, even if you prefer a village of upside-down houses. Churches, fences, homes, walls, explosive barrels, and vehicles can be added anywhere, although the vehicle count is currently capped at six. Because these objects can be stacked on top of one another, you can create some impressive structures should you take the time to build them. One map we saw showed a construction site and an unfinished building made out of individual girders. Another map was designed as a harbor, with large cargo containers stacked on top of one another and tall cranes looming overhead. A final map we ran through featured an old passenger train stretched across a lake with a few wood docks floating about. If you can dream it, you can probably make it happen. Once your map is created, you can play around with times of day and add weather effects like fog and rain. Finally, you can hit a button and drop right into the map and start shooting it up or burning it down with a flamethrower. Not only is this fun, but it gives you the chance to scope out good firing positions and test the design of your map. Should you not want to spend too much time in the map editor, you can always download a map from another user and modify it to your liking. The original creator will still receive credit for his map, but you can jump right in, make changes, and upload it again. Ubisoft is still hammering out all the community features of the map editor, but at the very least you will be able to sort through maps based on filters like top rated or number of times played. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to share maps across different platforms, but based on our time with the map editor, it appears that Ubisoft has reached its goal. The editor is seamless and simple.

Author: all4onenetwork How to design like an architect
This is the architect's neighborhood volume 3. How to design like an architect. I'm Doug Patt. I thought the best way to talk about design would be to create a dream home for someone, but first, let's talk about the design process. An architect, like any design professional draws on a wellspring of information. How we design is based to some extent on what we know. What we know can be based on the school we went to, the books we've read, the magazines we like to look at, where we grew up, our friends and relatives, the occupations we've held and in general, our life experiences. A professor named Edmund Bacon (actually the father of the actor Kevin Bacon) told me something once that I will never forget. He said, "It's in the doing that the idea comes". That is, we must sit and work through something before we can find the best way to solve a problem. Solving a design problem is essentially taking what we know and putting it together with that particular challenge. When an architect sits down to problem solve they frequently sketch. Sketching is one of the best ways to work out the solution to a problem. And I believe that it's exactly what Edmund Bacon meant when he said "it's in the doing that the idea comes." Before we design our dream home I need to give you a little insight into one of my favorite architects. Le Corbusier (October 6, 1887 -- August 27, 1965) was a Swiss born architect, writer and painter among other things. He was well known as a modern architect and for his theories & approach to architecture. I'll save his story for another episode, but would like to reference one of his most well known buildings. The Unite d'Habitation in Maresielles France is a very modern looking, long, narrow building that incorporates a number of Corbusier's design principals. The building is set on large concrete piloti's or pillars. It also incorporates a roof garden and sculpture. Although the style is seen as brutalist, it was Corbusier and his team's intention that the building provide better living conditions for occupants in a crowded city. They did this by stacking narrow two story apartments rather than spreading them out over the landscape. The buildings compact, lifted form was also seen as opening up the ground plane and providing the residents with a place of recreation on the roof. So, keep those things in mind as we look to design our dream home. This is Kelly. Kelly's dream home is a house on a cliff overlooking the ocean in California. She loves modern architecture. Now for purposes of time constraints I'm only going to design a small portion of the house and I'm going to do it quickly. So, It goes without saying that any architect worth their salt should be using a lot more information & spend a lot more time problem solving than I'm sharing with you here. Now, I assumed the site was narrow because of the scarcity of build able land in say Laguna Beach, CA. In that case I decided the home would be long and narrow, but tall. Every area has zoning ordinances that would probably affect the height of this building but I'm going to ignore them for this exercise. The house will be essentially a four-story window that points directly at the ocean view. Kelly want's to be a counselor so we know there should be some kind of space dedicated to having discussions and being inspired. A cantilevered deck is perfect for this. Now, an architect gets all kinds of useful information when interviewing a client for a job. Kelly's favorite building material is stainless steel so I decided to clad the whole house with it. Kelly also told me she had been born on an Indian reservation so I added this conical shape to the roof. A reference to the traditional American Indian tee pee. And there you have it. I put what I know together with the challenge of creating a dream home. SOME of what I referenced was work by Le Corbusier. What we've ended up with is a four story building set on pilotis. A home with a roof garden and roof sculpture that doubles as an observation deck. And finally a long narrow building with stacked living accommodations and a breathtaking view. All put together, a dream home for Kelly. So, thanks for checking out how to design like an architect. I'm Doug Patt. If you want me to design your dream home just subscribe to my youtube channel, then send me a message in the connect with section. If I get enough interest maybe I'll pic you & design your dream home in an upcoming episode!

Resolved Question: Small question of design
Hy, I was wondering if anyone can give me some good ideas. I've just finished remodeling my room (I'm 23 if that matters) and now it's all blue; like... i've found some blue floors (nice blue), made my walls blue (light blue, like the sky), i have some nice blue curtains and i've just bought some dark brown furniture (it's called venghe or something). Now I would like to change one wall to another color; i was thinking of a bright red but i don't want that combination (blue with red) so, i don't really know what else to go for, so I was hoping that some of you might give me some good ideas. Remember that I'm a guy so no pinkish stuff or something like that. Thank you Resolved Question: How do I remove red coloring that faded onto small white design?
I have a black cotton dress that has small white designs outlined by red with one small red ribbon that circles the bottom of the skirt. After the first wash it was fine but on the second wash the red ribbon faded a litle onto the white design around the bottom of the dress. How do I remove this red fade spots from the white with out damaging the other colors in the dress?? Resolved Question: Best website design software for a small business?
I need to design a website for a small law office. While I have never designed one before, I am very good with computers, especially in designing and creating advertisements and other forms of media. I tried using a website-hosting site, but it was frustrating not to be able to create my own layouts. Any recommendations? I've heard of CoffeeCup 2006 for Windows, does anybody know if that's any good? Also, if I design a webpage on Microsoft Word, how do I get it to be a real website online? Resolved Question: Can I use an algae-cide designed for ponds in my smaller tanks?
I have a pond outside and use "Tetra Pond Algae Control" in it, and the stuff works great. It worked so well, in fact, that I wondered if I could add any to my ten gallon tank. There isn't really an algae problem in the 10 gal, but I'm lazy and cleaning the tank walls annoys me. Slowing algae growth would be awesome. I'm just worried about possible negative effects. The ten gal has eight fish in it, six female bettas, one male betta, and one female guppy. They all live in harmony, and have beautiful fins. I also have two fully grown aponogeton plants in there and nine or ten sproutlings. The active ingredient in the chemical treatment is poly[Oxyethylene (Dimethyliminio) Ethylene (Dimethyliminio) Ethylene Dichloride], and it's at 5.4%. If I use the right concentration in my ten gal, will that help control the algae? Or will it harm what's in the tank? Resolved Question: redecorating/design a SMALL appartment?
my sister has a VERY small studio appartment in dc and she wants the main colors to be turqoise and silver and were on a VERY tight budget. we dont need like, new furniture, we have all of the furniture and stuff, but we need like wall paper and pictures and accesories and stuff, but if you find an attractive lol peice of inexpensive furniture thatd be great.oh, we want all the stuff to come from target if possible and it all has to be availible in the stores. thanks so much!!! <333333333 |
