Nira looked in every corner to make sure he was not going to jump out from anywhere, but the coast was clear so she went upstairs to change into some dry clothes. She then started dinner even though she was not the least bit hungry. Soon once she finished, she went upstairs and pulled out her blank page for art. She took off her necklace and placed it next to her. After many years, it was off her neck. She slowly opened the locket, and inside was a family photo of her mom, dad and herself all looking happy and cheerful together. She stared at each face, and slowly drew outlines of each one on her page. Once she was done she had the entire picture finshed in pencil with the locket. She saw how much blank was surrounding it so she decided to add the design of her bed covers on the back...showing that it was lying down. She sat up, and looked at what was done. Nothing ws colored yet, but she liked it like that. It made it look more unique, and she wanted the family picture to stand out the most. She was about to pick up her final project when she felt something wet hit her open palm. She placed her hand across her cheeks, and found tears starting to fall. She wiped them away, and placed her all her stuff on her shelf since her book bag was drenched. She saw that the time was two in the mourning so she went back in bed, and turned off the light. She started to cry hard, and nearly soaked her pillow. She woke up in the mourning with her eyes sore. She went to the bathroom, and saw her eyes nearly bright red, and swollen from crying herself to sleep. She got ready for school and went downstairs to wait for Jenna. She made a small sandwhich, and walked into the living room. She found her dad sleeping on the couch with an empty bottle next to him.she sighed, placed a blanket ontop of him. She muttered under her breath. "You smell bad all the time, and hurt me nearly everyday. The only reason why I still care is because you're my father, and family sticks together through thick and thin." She picked up the bottle, and placed it in the sink. She was going to wash it, and place it in the recycling later. She took her sandwich, and book bag to the front porch. She sat on the ledge, eating and waiting for Jenna. Soon She saw Jenna turn at the corner. Nira held her crutches, stood up, and started to walk down the driveway. "Good mourning!" Jenna said with a smile as Nira climbed in. "Yeah mourning." Nira replied with a weary smile. Jenna gave her a worried look. "What's wrong, hun'?" Nira thinks quickly. "Me? I'm just fine." She hoped Jenna would by it, but by her look, Jenna would have to be blind. "Uh-uh I've known you for too long, Nira. Tell me what's really bugging you?" Nira looked out the window, and shrugged. "Just tired that's all." She glanced at Jenna's reflection, and could tell by her face that she did not buy a single word. "From crying all night? What happened?" Jenna glanced at Nira, who was now looking straight ahead. "I wasn't crying...who ever said that I cry in my sleep?" Jenna smiles. "Then why are your eyes red and puffy?" Nira looked down. "Well...I'm...trying...out a new look!" She finished quickly with a smile, and looking a Jenna. Jenna laughed, and decided to give up. "Oh alright...you win! Keep your little secret to yourself...I don't care." Nira smiled. "I have no idea what you're talking about." "Mhm..." Jenna stops in front of the school. "Alright final stop. High school awaits." "Thanks Jen...see you later." Nira closes the door, and heads up to stairs to the door. Nira watched her drive off, and sighed. That was close...when will all of this will be over?
